Russell-Fields City Pier
Russell-Fields City Pier extends 1,500 feet out into the Gulf of Mexico, ideal for the angler looking to cast their line for some incredible fish. You can purchase a daily fishing license for only $7, and there are convenient rental facilities right on the pier where you can rent your rod and grab your bait and tackle. Then, cast your line to try for flounder, pompano, Spanish mackerel, cobia, and more! If you aren’t interested in fishing, you can pay just $3 to walk the pier, watch others fish, and check out the stunning view of the Gulf.
This pier is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is located at 16201 Front Beach Road, right across from the entrance to Pier Park.
MB Miller County Pier
Similar to Russell-Fields, MB Miller County Pier sits 1,500 feet into the Gulf and offers a beautiful view of the water. This pier is another popular fishing spot, with many of the same amenities as its counterpart. Here, you can purchase a daily fishing license for just $6 (or pay $3 to walk the pier). If you plan to be in town for a while or you visit Panama City Beach often, you can buy an annual pass that will cover entrance into both the City and County piers!
MB Miller County Pier is located at 12213 Front Beach Road.
St. Andrews State Park
At St. Andrews State Park, you’ll find not one, but two piers to take advantage of! First, the Tiller Pier sticks out into the Gulf of Mexico and is a great place to watch the wildlife around you. You can spot tons of different species from deer to alligators! This area is also popular for watching the migratory birds of the area make their home for the season.
Additionally, there is a fishing pier located on the Grand Lagoon, which offers a unique experience for fishing in Panama City. While you can also fish on Tiller Pier, this second pier offers different fish species and more amenities. You can fish right off the pier or launch from the boat ramp! On land, you’ll find a concession stand with all of your bait and tackle needs, as well as seasonal equipment rentals and some snacks and groceries.
St. Andrews State Park is located at 4607 State Park Lane. They are open daily from 8 a.m. until sundown. The entrance fee is $8 per vehicle with 2 to 8 people or $4 for a vehicle with a single occupant.
